Barclays Pingit app
Barlays Bank launch new Pingit mobile application for Barclays account holders which allow them to easily send money by using the recipients mobile phone number.
The app which is available for IOS, Android and Blackberry currently only allows Barclays customers to send money, but allows customers of any bank recieve money up to the sum of £300.
Barclays intend to open up the send function to uers of other banks in the near future.
The major concern with an app like this would be security, but Barclays have said that the registration process is watertight, with a five digit pin needed to even acces the application and a neat remote way to wipe all traces of the application from the phone if it were lost or stolen.
