With many Google nexus users looking forward to  the impending release of Android KitKat (4.4)  spare a thought for  Samsung S3 users who have just had the Android 4.3 (Jellybean) update suspended due to a batch of technical issues.

Samsung 4.3 Technical issues

Since the update which was released around two weeks ago users have reported the Galaxy S3 (which last update was Android 4.1 having completely missed 4.2) has suffered from issues such as faster battery drain, alarms not triggering and some apps not working at all, this has prompted Samsung to suspend the update.

Some network providers in the US are said to have suspended the update for the newer Galaxy S4 until the issues have been addressed.

Samsung have reacted by assuring customers that they are investigating the reported issues and will try to resume the roll out of 4.3 as soon as possible.

Android 4.4 KitKat

This news is worrying for Samsung users waiting for the latest Android KitKat release which may now be delayed even longer than the predicted for Samsung devices as Samsung will no doubt want to be extra sure that there will no issues before rolling it out.

It is rumored that the Google Play edition of the Galaxy S4 will be getting the KitKat update early next year, but other than that it looks like Samsung Devices might be 3 versions behind come 2014.
