BBM Video has been confirmed as a feature of the coming soon BlackBerry 10 phones.
RIM CEO Thorstein Heins confirmed yesterday that the new feature BBM Video was an obvious extension to the extremely popular BBM messaging service.
This is welcome news for the delayed phones which were originally scheduled for release later this year, but have now been pushed back by 3 months to beginning of 2013.
It is believed the BlackBerry’s aim with the BBM and new BBM Video service is to build a BlackBerry driven social networking platform.
RIM (Research in motion), who have had a tough year this year with technical issues, share prices plumeting and loss of market share, are standing strong in the face of their competitors who seem to be relishing the company’s downward spiral, quite often predicting the complete collapse of the Canada based company.B
But the leaks about BlackBerry 10 that have been surfacing on the net in the last few weeks have been positive, and many of the alleged new features look good.
I feel positivity and exitement from the RIM camp about BlackBerry 10, and hope that the extended wait is worth it.
