Yesterday saw the official launch of the London Shopping Guide App, aiming to help local Londoners and tourists to the city to discover the best London has to offer.
It’s certainly not the first of it’s kind and we don’t expect it to be the last, with multiple London City Guide apps and shopping apps already available within app stores. What helps to set it aside is it’s combination of both store listings with offers, which may help to point you in the right direction if you’re looking to save some cash. Offers are broken down neatly into restaurant vouchers, in-store deals, online deals and for the die-hard bargain hunters, daily deals (in partnership with Groupon).
Offers at this point do appear to be on the thin side, but we expect this to improve in the coming weeks as the app gets traction. Considering it’s free there’s a lot to like about this London shopping app, especially if you’re tired of shopping at the same old places and fancy trying something new.
There’s a nifty hotel booking tool if you’re looking to make a night of it, together with other useful features including a weather forecast for the city.
We’ve been told that new features are due to be rolled out later in the year, including the ability to find the nearest coffee shop to you, as well as a guide to what’s on each day.
