One thing all great gaming apps like Angry Birds have in common is simplicity. This lulls us into a false sense of security that we can master the game because of it’s simple idea – getting us addicted in the process.
This is also true to the Jungle Treasures app, available for free on for both Android on the Google Play Store and iOS on the Apple App Store.
The idea is simple – take the form of a monkey with a slingshot and make your way through a multitude of levels by showing off your accuracy to destroy your target (in this case bananas).
At each level you’ll be given different things to fire from the slingshot that you then have to shoot at temples to get to the fruit. Firing the slingshot is easy, with the option to change the projection and the force with just a swipe of your finger.
Within five minutes we were lulled into the same false sense of security we had with Angry Birds, making rapid progress before we quickly met our match. It’s a great little game to play on the way into work and with over five hundred levels, it should keep you busy for a few months.
Once you think you’ve mastered each level, there’s the option to play a multiplayer game against your friends to really show off your skills.
For any players who don’t have the patience to unlock goodies through their gaming skills, there is the option to get them as in-app purchases. We’d suggest avoiding this if you can as you’ll find it much more addictive and challenging by doing it the hard way!
