We’ve all been there, you’re in a restaurant waiting to pay but there’s only one card machine and the waiting staff are desperately waving it above their head trying to get a better WiFi connection.
It’s a first world problem, one we are likely not to dwell on at the time but it’s still an inconvenience in today’s hyper connected world. A Manchester-based startup is hoping to change this with the launch of their new order and pay at table app, Order With Fork.
One of the restaurant users of the app, Richard Brown, managing partner of BEASTro said of the benefits:
“The customer experience is also improved for busy single diners on their lunch hour, those who don’t want to queue, or couples who don’t want to break the mood – the diner chooses how they order and pay, without any additional cost.”
The company is now launching a crowd funding campaign to take the app to the next level. It hopes to raise £250,000, which will be put towards further features within the Order with Fork app and a complementary ‘spoon’ app.
Order with Fork currently has a limited number of restaurants listed, but you can try the app for free today from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
